No parking available on-site, which complicates things when arriving by vehicle, and the underground parking is pricey. If your room is at the back, prepare for a view that's less than exciting. Noise can be an issue. Sound travels easily from the hallway, especially when other guests are chatting.

fantastic welcome, pleasure that every day they prepare the accommodation with care for you, so clean, so pleasant, so warm, that they take care to accommodate everyone's preferences as much as possible. Look, it doesn't have modern furniture, it is luxurious, it doesn't lack detail, even the minibar is free. Let the others keep their tourist apartments, will pay more and continue to leave us these good options for us. It is different. Special mention for the attention of the receptionists and gentleman in the cafeteria on Friday and Sunday. I leave for the end the frontal view to the San Lorenzo Beach and sound of the breaking sea. Go on, get over it! Thank you very much to the staff of the Alcomar, we are looking forward to repeat. hug.
Not being able to extend our stay, on this occasion. And if it rained, then the sun came out too.

Location so close to the beautiful main beach that is close to the old town harbour, the shops and restaurants and the tourist attractions. For shots visit Rawcoco Green Bar, nestled within 5 minutes' walk of the hotel👌

The beach view from my room was awesome, and the breakfast at the café was freshly cooked and super tasty. Only downside was the bathroom was a bit cramped. A chill stay!

I really liked the room. Although the decoration is not very much to my taste, I have to say that it was very spacious. A big bathroom, a hall where you can leave the child's chair, the big room, with 2 beds and an extra one. The negative side was that the mattress was a bit bad ... you could see the springs. They should update them, and on the other hand the room was next to the elevator and you could hear the noise quite a lot. But all in all, good. If I go back to Gijon, I will book a room in the same hotel.
Mattresses are uncomfortable, they should be updated. . . The room was near the elevator and there was quite a lot of noise. As for the breakfasts, I have to say that it is like a cafeteria, with few tables. It seems that it is a concession of the hotel to a "bar next door" .. this did not like me at all. I would have preferred an open restaurant, with breakfast buffet, many tables..

Breakfast is right. The location is fantastic.
The room we were assigned seemed noisy (you could hear an engine in the inner courtyard at night, which connected and disconnected the air conditioning of a nearby building?), hot - due to its orientation, although when we commented on it after the first night, we were told that it was one of the quietest rooms and, therefore, with no option or intention of change from what we perceived (we spent 6 nights). On the other hand, the bathroom was smaller than we expected (I had to ask them to change an element of the telephone shower because the water was running out). It was as if we had been assigned one of the smaller rooms because we were not regular customers and had a reduced rate for prepayment. Maybe it's subjective or our expectations were different, like when you leave they don't even ask if you enjoyed the stay. Often, kindness will iron out any shortcomings.

The Alcomar offers a great location directly across from the beach. I loved waking up to picturesque sea views from the window. It really set a relaxing tone for the day. The reception staff were always helpful, providing recommendations for nearby attractions and assisting with any queries I had. The breakfast at the café was freshly cooked and plentiful, definitely a highlight of my stay. On the downside, my room faced a busy street, leading to some noise at night. Finding parking was a hassle as there's no on-site option, and the nearby underground parking can be pricey. Some pillows were rather thin, and I wished there had been more available to ensure a comfortable sleep. Despite these drawbacks, I appreciated the charming atmosphere and the hotel's classic décor.

I liked the cleanliness, excellent location, the friendliness of virtually all staff and especially by a waiter who gave breakfast, very friendly and very aware that customers were happy with breakfast, a continental breakfast with several things to choose and if you wanted to repeat or wanted more things was no problem, everything was delicious.
The beds, the horrible mattress, we spent 5 nights and as the days went by, you could see how bad the mattress was, for a hotel with that price and with those stars it's hard to believe that they don't make it better, something you spend hours trying to rest on, then in the bathroom, in the shower they have some glass trays to put the soap on, that you can't hit it by accident, as it was my case, it broke and it was smashed on the floor, it was already put in knowledge of the reception so that they take it into account, and it won't happen again to any client, otherwise perfect

Nice place, rooms very nice shape.
The parking is very complicated in a shopping centra cellar 300m away. Not easy to offload baggage. Breakfast was a little too sparse for northern european taste, fully ok for spanish hotels though. Personell could be a bit friendlier
